Since I live in Bonn, Cologne is only half an hour away… I thought that I should go to the Carneval’s parade of Cologne at least once. So:

I could collect few Kamelle, but no Strüßje! What a pity!

Very basic rsync usage

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

To make a backup of my home folder on my machine in the office: First cd to the folder where all files should get copied, in my case this would be /ext/tha. Then

rsync -avz –exclude ‘\.*’ ~/ .

The –exclude option excludes the invisible folders which I don’t need to backup.

A quite unusual documentary film about Sabra and Shatila massacre. It’s an animation! I thought that it’d have been filmed normally and rendered to animation, but according to wikipedia it is not. The credit sequence showed that they used a modified version of “I Bombed Korea” of Cake. Interesting song title… Four stars because I did not like the voice of the narrator.
